Mexico City
This is a fun variation on a Manhattan, with tequila in place of the whiskey. Use a high-quality tequila.
- 2 oz tequila reposado or añejo
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 dashes mole bitters
- garnish: orange twist, brandied cherry
Stir tequila, vermouth, and bitters with plenty of ice. Strain into a coupe glass.
Express the oils from an orange twist over the drink, then add it and the cherry into the glass.
