Martini

Olives tend to go well in a dryer martini (less vermouth or a bolder/more juniper heavy gin), while a lemon twist is best if the martini is sweeter (either more vermouth or a more mild/sweet gin).

  • 2½ oz gin
  • ¾ oz dry vermouth
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • garnish: lemon twist or green olives

Add to cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Stir for at least 30 seconds, then strain into a martini glass or Nick and Nora.

Garnish with a lemon twist or a couple green olives.
