Mai Tai
This calls for Jamaican rum and rhum agricole, but you will still get a delicious drink if you sub in a combination of your favorite aged and clear rums.
- 1 oz Jamaican rum
- 1 oz rhum agricole
- ½ oz dry curaçao
- 1 oz lime juice
- ½ oz orgeat
- ½ oz dark rum
- garnish: mint sprig and cocktail cherry
Combine all ingredients except dark rum into shaker with plenty of ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice.
Float the dark rum over the top of the drink using the back of a spoon.
Slap the mint sprig to release its oils, then add it to the glass along with a cocktail cherry as a garnish.
