À la Louisiane

  • a splash of absinthe
  • 1½ oz rye whiskey
  • ¾ oz Bénédictine
  • ¾ oz sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • garnish: maraschino cherry

Pour a splash of absinthe into a coupe; swirl it around to coat the inside of the glass, then pour it out.

Stir remaining ingredients with plenty of ice and strain into the glass.
